3.0.0 (08-27-2026)#

  • Transfers to xGT now read rows from Neo4j in batches, which is several times faster. Controlled by the batch_size option of Neo4jConnector.

Changed#

  • Transfers from Neo4j read in batches by default. Neo4j holds one batch at a time, so a transfer now costs it some memory. Pass batch_size=None for the row at a time behaviour of earlier releases.

  • Neo4jDriver.query() no longer runs its query a second time when the result is finalized. result() hands back the same result on every call rather than running the query again.

  • TIME columns transferred over ODBC arrive in xGT as a time of day rather than as text, which is what arrow_odbc reports them as from 9.0.0 onwards. Anything reading those columns as strings needs adjusting.

  • The odbc extra asks for arrow_odbc 9.0.0 or newer, in place of the 0.2.0 it was pinned to.

Fixed#

  • Queries run through Neo4jDriver.query() being run a second time when finalized, which ran writes twice.

  • The schema queries no longer use syntax particular to one database, so they work wherever the connector can reach.

  • The queries no longer end in a semicolon, which SAP ASE 15.7 rejects.
